Talk about extracurricular activities. When 14-year-old Sondra Clark of Bellingham, Wash., is not writing a book--she's written five so far--she's helping to raise money for AIDS orphans in Africa. UPFRONT got a glimpse of where she gets the time and energy.

How does it feel to be the author of five books?

It's a wonderful feeling, definitely. I wrote my first book actually when I was eight ... I wrote about arts and crafts. And then it kind of bridged and kept going.

How de you stay so focused when you write?

I try not to elongate things. For me, it's been really helpful to have things in condensed amounts, and having someone to help you along the way.
