Four get awards for Distinguished Service.

FEI has presented four members with the association's 2005 Distinguished Service Award. This award, presented at the Summit in May, honors members who have made significant contributions to the organization. It was presented to Richard Asta of Orlando, David Cavallo of Chicago, Lawrence Piano of Fort Wayne and Richard Rosebery of Dallas.

Commenting on the awards, Colleen Cunningham, President and CEO of FEI, said, "On behalf of senior financial officers throughout the country, I want to thank these four professionals for serving as role models for other members of FEI. They have committed significant time and effort in furthering the high professional standards of FEI and strengthening our association at the national and local levels."

Richard Asta, Chief Executive Officer, Dixon Ticonderoga Company, received the award for his commitment and contributions to the Central Florida Chapter in Orlando, where he has been a member for more than a decade. He has served in every Chapter position and has been extremely influential in the Chapter's sponsorship program, attracting 30 sponsors in just two years.

Prior to moving to Orlando, he was on the board of the Chicago chapter of FEI for five years. Asta has also been active on a national level in various leadership roles.
