If the yellow forsythia buds are not enough to quench a thirst for color, surely a million daffodils will do the trick. At the LongHouse Reserve season opener, Rites of Spring (scheduled for April 29, 2-5 p.m.), daffodils, daffodils and more daffodils will be in bloom throughout the famed LongHouse gardens. Rites will also include an exhibition of ceramics by Shinman Yamada, Jack's Wala Wala's by Dale Chihuly to be installed in Peter's Pond, and a new installation of the Kreye Canyon expansion.
