FOREWORD

The Section of Antitrust Law is pleased to present this Handbook on

the Scope of Antitrust, a significant contribution to the Section’s

Handbook series. To our knowledge, the scope of antitrust has never

before been the subject of one comprehensive book. This Handbook

provides practical guidance as to the boundaries of U.S. antitrust law,

including all exemptions and immunities issues.

The Section owes its gratitude to the Project Chair and principal

author, Chris Sagers, who saw the project through its entire four years,

from initial proposal to final manuscript. In addition, the entire

leadership of the Exemptions & Immunities Committee, especially Vice-

Chair Greg Garrett and Chairs Greg Luib and John Roberti, made

important contributions, and we are in their debt.
