For Our Readers

O

ver the 30 years that I have been practicing IP law, we

have witnessed truly momentous change in our profession.

And that’s what we all would expect (and hope for). As a

Landslide® magazine editor for the last nine of those years, I have

seen us cover all these dynamic changes and developments: from

ITU applications to federal trademark dilution law, anticybersquat-

ting, and the GDPR.

Our profession continues to grow—sometimes with thorny and curi-

ous branches—and this magazine has helped forge a path through

the trees. We continue to address what is thought-provoking and

new in our profession and what is helpful for our readership as they

practice all areas of IP. We consider and address what is working,

what may be wrong, and, always, what is next.

What do you, our readers, think? Landslide is the f‌lagship maga-

zine of the ABA-IPL Section, and your forum for contribution and

connection to the balanced thoughts of the best and brightest in

the profession. I invite you to tell us what you’d like to see covered

and debated in our pages.

As I begin my term as editor-in-chief, I thank the dedicated and

talented members of our Board, our staff who make the magazine

happen, and Adrienne Fields for her leadership this past year.

The Landslide magazine team and I look forward to hearing from

you as we present the ever-evolving areas of IP law and the extraor-

dinary people who contribute to the profession.
