The Federation of European Accountants (or the Federation des Experts Comptables Europeens) recently recommended forming an oversight committee that would mirror the PCAOB's efforts.

The organization called on the European Commission to implement such a board, which would be charged with strengthening public oversight of the audit profession.

The FEE also included among its recommendations that the group:
