Creating an Action Plan
No matter what year lawyer you are,
you can create an action plan with
measurable goals. A goal should
be speci c, realistic, and capable of
completion within an identi able time
frame. For example, an initial goal
could be: By the end of this month I
will call  ve current clients to discuss
the changes in the XYZ rules related to
their businesses.
Follow up, in consultation with the
partner who has the key relationship
with those clients, with action steps
needed to complete the goal. For
example, action steps for the above
goal are: (1) Review XYZ rules, (2)
Identify  ve clients a ected by this
rule, (3) Confer with the relationship
partner for each client, (4) Schedule
time in calendar to contact each client,
(5) Call or email all  ve clients.
