FLOWERING FRIENDSHIP TEA: Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, gave its sister city of Boulder an ornate Persian teahouse more than a decade ago. In return, organizers are trying to raise money to return the gift in the form of a cyber cafe for Dushanbe, but fundraising efforts have fallen well short of the necessary $660,000. To help boost the cause, the operators of the Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse have begun blending vanilla-flavored Ceylon black tea with organic rose petals, orange blossoms and other ingredients and selling the mix as Flowering Friendship Tea, with proceeds going to the cyber cafe fund.
