Flight simulator displays selected for F-35.

The F-35 Joint Strike Fighter training simulators will have advanced displays, designed to be compatible with a sophisticated look-and-shoot helmet system.

The F-35 manufacturer, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company, selected the SEOS Panorama system, with a 220-degree horizontal by 65-degree vertical aligned field of view, for use in its F-35 JSF engineering facility at Fort Worth, Texas.

The key features sought in the display were compatibility with the Helmet Mounted Cueing System, ability to simulate short take off and vertical landing (STOVL), tight mechanical coupling of the display system to the JSF cockpit, fast delivery and...
