Originally from New York, Michael Toth came to Colorado by way of Houston in 2004, in large part due to the mountain-biking culture in the Centennial State.

"Texas is not exactly a hotspot for the mountain-biking community," he said.

Once settled, his longtime "side project" of building bike frames morphed into a full-time job. Working with bike-racing friend Brian Thornton, Toth designed, prototyped and redesigned a frame, ultimately selling the first one in 2005.

"We decided to go for an all-around frame," Toth said. "We think it's pretty good for the Front Range."
