To quote the review of the hardcover in KLIATT, March 2005: Jo is a petite athlete who wants above all else to get on the ice hockey team; in her school, that means the boys' ice hockey team. There is a certain fallout to this challenge: some of the boys are threatened by the presence of a girl; and even her best friend Ben is uncomfortable having her on the team. Jo is tough, however, and persistent. Fortunately, the coach is supportive. Jo perseveres.
