BACKGROUND

Establishing and maintaining an Internet presence is a necessary practice in today's technology-driven business environment. When companies in southern Utah need simple solutions for their complex business problems, Custom Bit steps in with tailor-made web applications. The company, located in St. George, Utah, provides web design, hosts websites and develops applications for companies that have outgrown their current web solution or need something beyond an off-the-shelf product. Custom Bit was founded in 2011 by Brian Wilson, Wes Bangerter and Daniel Esplin.

THE SITUATION

As a startup business, Custom Bit needed a financial partner who could get its accounts created quickly and with minimal set-up. Brian Wilson felt that Mountain America Credit Union was best positioned to serve the company's immediate and long-term needs.

"We wanted to start with something simple, but we really liked the idea of keeping everything under one roof as our financial needs grew, " Wilson says. "Mountain America helped us get the essentials in place so we could immediately serve our customers."

Wilson also wanted a financial services partner with proven stability. Throughout the economic downturn, a number of institutions were severely impacted. Wilson knew that Mountain America remained financially strong throughout the turmoil of the recession.
