First Bank has broken ground on a new Mendenhall Branch in Juneau. The construction site of the new branch office is located at the corner of Vintage Boulevard and Riverside Drive, across from the Mendenhall Post Office.

Site preparation began on the 13,000-square-foot, two-story building with construction to continue through the fall and winter months. The project has an estimated completion date of March 30, 2005. First Bank will occupy most of the first floor and lease the remaining first floor office space to the Alaska Escrow and Title Co.
