Pilot Italia SpA's labels for Franconia wines took the award in the alcoholic beverages category. They were printed in a combination of rotary letterpress, screen, and hot foil blocking on paper.

In the food labeling category, Australia's Adelaide Spectrum Labels Pty. Ltd. won with white film labels for Pacific Oysters Kilpatrick, printed UV rotary letterpress.

The Label Makers, from the UK, used roll-fed offset and hot foil blocking to produce the winning labels for Carolina Home Fragrances in the household applications category.

The winner in the cosmetics and toiletries category was Doga Etiket of Turkey, with its beverage label, printed UV letterpress with silver foil.

Letterpress again was the choice of Kimbells Pack Incorporated, of The Philippines, which took the prize in the pharmaceutical category with its labels for Donalin, printed on metalized paper with gold hot foil.

Two companies won top honors in the security labeling category.
