I couldn't agree more about divesting from the stock market and the reasons for it (Comment, "Let's Overthrow the Government," October/November issue). I now remain silent when others talk about how much money there is to be made in the market.

Between 1954 and 1968, civil rights activists risked everything for change. They were maimed and murdered; they lost their health, their homes, and their jobs. This is a terrible indictment of our society, but they knew they had to risk these things for any chance of gaining the legal and Constitutional rights that white Americans already had. What are we Americans willing to risk now?
