FEI's 82nd Leadership Summit, held at Disney's Contemporary Resort in Orlando, Fla., on May 20-22, was filled with timely and relevant information, starting with an opening reception complete with fireworks that could be seen from Disney's Magic Kingdom.

Conference Chair Deborah Adkins welcomed those in the packed auditorium on day one and introduced FEI President and CEO Marie Hollein.

"Though we may be in Disney, and the conference theme is 'Fact Versus Fairy Tale,' we are certainly not living in fairy-tale times," said Hollein. "Fortunately, over the next two days, we'll have the opportunity to listen to some prominent and influential leaders in business as they speak about the issues that affect us all."

Top honors were bestowed on the leading chapters. First- and second-prize winners were announced in each of the five membership tiers, and those chapters most successful in building their membership rolls were cited.

In the category of largest chapters, those with 300 or more members, the Twin Cities Chapter (pictured middle left) was cited for exceptional performance, followed by the Chicago Chapter.
