FEI reorganizes staff to better serve members (people).

As part of a staff reorganization carried out following consultation with FEI's Office of the Chairman, FEI's National staff has been realigned. Two executive-level positions were eliminated, noted President and CEO Colleen Sayther, in an effort to "flatten the organization and ensure that we are better structured to achieve our goals." Under the new structure:

Grace Hinchman will expand her current role to serve as Senior Vice President of Public Affairs and Technical Activities, taking on supervisory responsibility for all FEI technical committees and the Globalization Oversight Committee (GOC).

"Combining our advocacy and technical committee activities will enhance the effectiveness of both areas and will enhance the quality and relevance of the content we provide in our meetings, conferences and publications," said Sayther.

Marla Markowitz Bace has been named Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales and will focus on revenue generation and FEI's overall branding and positioning, affording FEI the opportunity to provide a unified message to its customers. During a transition period, Bace will serve in a dual capacity as the EVP and COO of the FEI Research Foundation. The FERF Trustees will lead the search to identify Marla's successor.
