FEI's Committee on Government Business (CGB), led by Chairman Paul Cienki, vice president of Government Accounting and Compliance for Honeywell International Inc., held its quarterly meeting Feb. 12 in Arlington, Va. During the meeting, the committee met with the recently appointed director of the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), Patrick Fitzgerald, to discuss DCAA initiatives and other government contracting issues.

Fitzgerald, who oversees DCAA's 4,000 auditors, spoke at length about his desire to create an environment in which DCAA is available for dialogue with CGB members. It was the first meeting Fitzgerald had with CGB members since taking over the DCAA from April Stephenson last October.
