FEI's Diversity Task Force gains momentum.

Financial Executives International's (FEI) Diversity Task Force has made great strides since its 2006 inception. Joe DiLorenzo of FEI's Boston chapter is the ex-officio chairman of the task force, a result of his role as vice chairman of FEI. The task force's mission is to make FEI a more inclusive organization by encouraging minorities to join and establish programs that demonstrate this commitment.

The task force has also been actively seeking to have more minority speakers at national FEI conferences. FEI's Private Company Forum had included diversity as a topic for one of the sessions at its Spring 2007 program. FEI has also partnered with the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA) in order to improve both organizations.

FEI's Boston chapter is working closely with the Boston chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) on providing a scholarship, mentoring and career services for both qualified prospective members and less-experienced NABA members.
