Henri Bisson was chosen as acting senior advisor to Interior Department Secretary Dirk Kempthorne. Bisson replaces Drue Pearce, whom President Bush nominated as federal coordinator for Alaska Natural Gas Transportation Projects. Bisson will advise Interior Department officials regarding Alaska concerns. Bisson has worked for the Bureau of Land Management for 30 years.
