Fed workers win paid leave: Is the private sector next?

Under a new law, federal workers will be able to take up to 12 weeks of paid leave each year for the birth or adoption of a child. To be eligible, employees must have worked for the federal government for at least a year and stay at least 12 weeks after the time off. The law takes effect Oct. 1, 2020.
