They wreaked havoc everywhere they went. Overturned plants. Scattered fireplace soot. Spilled drinks when no one was looking. At age 2, the fearsome threesome even conspired in untying the netting their parents hoped would keep them in their cribs.

At age 25, triplets Josie, Jon and Tom Gay are still wreaking havoc. This time, they're applying their triple-power energy to e-business, turning the local website development industry upside down.

In the three years since they opened the doors at Inetz, the company has added 250 clients to its roster gone from five employees to 31, and is projecting more than a 300 percent increase in sales by the end of 2000.

How have they accomplished so much so fast?

"Teamwork," they agree.

Finishing each other's thoughts, they explain that being triplets has built a pattern for their company culture, which is also at the heart of their professional success. "We're used to working with each other equally," says Josie.

"We're able to work together a little differently than other people would; we're very honest with each other. That's good for the business," adds Jon.

That honest, equal approach has influenced the development of their flat management style. They've divided their responsibilities, designating Josie as chief executive officer; Tom and Jon both as chief technology officers; and a fourth partner, J. T. Holt, as chief operating officer. And every Inetz employee, whether a programmer, sales strategist or department manager, is encouraged to openly contribute their opinions and expertise.
