The FABTECH International & AWS Welding Show, Oct. 6-8 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, is North America's largest metal forming, fabricating, and welding exposition and conference. The event brings buyers and sellers of metal forming and fabricating technologies together.
Here are some of the products:
Next generation system ensures optimum stability
Mitsubishi Laser has introduced the next generation of its best-selling laser, the LVPLUS. The New LVPLUSII combines several new performance-enhancing features with the productivity features from the original machine.
The LVPLUSII's new 40CF-R resonator technology reduces rise time/fall time of square wave pulse. This provides a more consistent beam power during the cutting process and delivers a more brilliant and consistent edge quality. Additionally, the uniform low current discharge provides low power stability for improved micro-machining and etching.
The LVPLUSII delivers new Brilliant-cut technology, which can produce a cutting surface roughness equivalent to the typical machined finish.
All Mitsubishi Laser equipment is automation-ready, with several high-production options that can transform and expand any laser system for maximum versatility and throughput. Mitsubishi Laser, Booth 4039, www.rsleads. com/810tp-173
Laser resonator expands range, increases cutting speeds
The most recent addition to Trumpf's TruFlow series of laser resonators, the TruFlow 7000, has several new innovations that result in rapid cutting speeds that boost quality and efficiency, according to the company.
The 7kW laser expands the range of sheet thicknesses that the machine can cut and increases cut speed. The TruFlow 7000 cuts stainless steel up to 1.188" thick, and aluminum up to 0.8". Cutting speed increases of up to 10 percent can be achieved for stainless steel 0.312, 0.375 and 0.625", and up to 30 percent for 0.75 to 1". In some applications where aluminum is used, cutting speeds may increase up to l0 percent, according to the company.
The highlight of the TruLaser 5030 NEW is the single cutting head strategy, where the same cutting head can be used to process various sheet metal thicknesses. Another feature, integrated collision protection, safely guards the cutting head from damage as the head now folds away during a collision. Trumpf Inc., Booth 7015, www.rsleads.com/810tp-174
