Hurricane season isn't officially over until Nov. 30, but 2017 is already on the record books as the second-costliest season in U.S. history. In 2005, Hurricanes Katrina, Dennis and Cindy caused $211 billion in damage, according to the National Hurricane Center. Harvey and Irma are expected to cost the U.S. and Puerto Rico as much as $200 billion. North Carolina escaped the 2017 season largely unscathed but is still recovering from Hurricane Matthew's $4.6 billion in damage last year, an amount that would presumably bump Fran from the No. 2 spot on the State Climate Office's top 10 list...
