Three experienced, well-regarded staff directors have recently retired. Robert Erickson, director of the research division of the Nevada Legislative Counsel Bureau, retired in January. He began his legislative career in 1979 and became research director in 1984. He was a founding member of the Research and Committee Staff Section (RACSS) of NCSL, and was awarded the Two-Term Chair award for his significant contributions in improving professional development opportunities for staff and enhancing outreach efforts to involve people in the staff section. Darrell Jackson, director of the Missouri House Research staff since 1981, retired at the end of last year.
