* NDIA's Expeditionary Warfare Division has selected Robert O. Work as the recipient of its annual Smith-Turner Expeditionary Operations Award.

The award is presented in recognition of an individual who has provided crucial leadership and noteworthy contributions to the development, advancement and sustainment of U.S. expeditionary warfare concepts, capabilities, technologies and forces over the years.

Work is the distinguished senior fellow for defense and national security at the Center for a New American Security, and he previously served as the deputy secretary of defense and as the undersecretary of the Navy.
