1 Acquaintance and Date Rape Workshop

This free workshop is presented by STAR, Standing Together Against Rape. Workshop is set for 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and held at the University of Alaska Anchorage Business Education Building, room 112. 7-9 Sacred Circle Training

Featuring a workshop entitled "Advocacy for Native Women Who Have Been Raped." One of every three Native women has been raped. This workshop explores this issue from a historical, cultural and legal perspective. Will review jurisdictional issues, effective response, crisis intervention, advocacy, rape exams, and discuss how to establish sexual assault teams in urban and rural areas. Registration fee is $150. 12 Opening Night, Anchorage Symphony Orchestra
