9 Flag Day Celebration

The only event in Anchorage honoring the designer of the Alaska flag, 13-year-old Benny Benson, and celebrating the day it was first flown in 1927. Barbecue, games and music at 4600 Abbott Road from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Contact Alaska Children's Services at 346-2101.

11-18 Great Alaska Summer Shootout

The seven-day event will include six games guaranteed, eight games maximum, and will include pool play, tournament play, individual and team competitions. At least 28 teams will compete.
