Errata

Sex Offender Law and the Geography of Victimization

In Agan and Prescott (2014), the following errors were published and have been corrected

online on 11th February 2014 and shown below:

On page 804: footnote 27, last part of second line, the formula was changed to “exp(β0+

β1X)exp(β1)”.

On page 802: Table 1, first column, “Non-Rape” was deleted in “All Non-Rape Nonrape Sex

Offenses”.

On page 825: figure legend, “All Sex Offense” was changed to “All Sex Offenses” and

Figure 9, the y-axis units were added.

On page 787: 2nd full paragraph, 9th line down—“Deparment pf” was changed to “Depart-

ment of”.

On page 792: 1st full paragraph, last line—“convictced” was changed to “convicted”.

On page 795: footnote 9, 5th line—“address” was changed to “addresses”.

On page 798: footnote 19, 1st line—“neighborhoods” was changed to “neighborhood”.

On page 802: Table 1 Notes, first line—“diplays” was changed to “displays”.

On pages 808, 809, 811, 819, 821: Tables 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 Notes, third line—“populaton” was

changed to “population”.

On pages 808, 809, 811, 819, 821: Tables 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, Column 6—“Pornograpy” was

changed to “Pornography”.

On page 823: 1st full paragraph, 6th line—“change” was changed to “changes”.

On page 823: last line of the 1st full paragraph—“when the goal is minimize victimization

risk in a particular location” was changed to “when the goal is to minimize victimization risk

in a particular location”.

On page 805: 1st full paragraph, 8th line down — “exp” style was changed to roman.
