New Golf Clubs - 1 broke my five iron at a golf outing this summer.

When was your most stressful moment?

It was early summer of 2002, we just had two bad years, my dad died, my daughter was diagnosed with autism and the market sank another 20 percent. That was extreme. That whole year seemed to last a lifetime for me.

How many employees do you have?

Two

What's your favorite hobby?

Cooking, boating, golf and travel. I cook polish food, steaks or seafood dishes. My favorite meal is breakfast. It gets you off to a good start.

What's the hardest thing about being a small business owner?

Handling accelerates growth and slow downs.

What's the one thing no one ever told you about running a small business?

No one ever told me anything. I have been running a small business since. I was a teenager. You have to hustle and deliver. You have to be committed or you will never make it. Your mind set is that you own it 100 percent. That is what it feels like to own your own shop.

Why do you call the Detroit Region home?

Born and raised here. All my family is from here.

Where did you go to college?

University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ. I moved out there and worked my way through college.
