Datacare Software Group (DSG) has released version 2.0 of its enterprise entity management solution, Global Corporate Manager (GCM). Datacare says that GCM is used by many large Global 1000 companies to manage their legal and nonlegal entities, and the key regulatory, governance, compliance, and corporate details on them.

As a fully scalable application built on true Web standards, GCM serves the needs of tax, treasury, finance, the corporate secretary, legal counsel and others, as they relate to a group's subsidiaries and the relationships between them.

New features in this latest release address some Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, from production and filings of the Section 16 insider forms to the SEC, to multi-tiered workflow tools, pro-active alerts and flags on filings or changes to data, to all-around transparency and improved and auditable internal controls. Datacare says GCM provides specific benefits on top of its generic appeal as a centralized database, document repository, document generation, business intelligence and governance enforcement tool.
