The CalCPA-sponsored group vision plan from VSP, which has provided member firms with an eye-care package for many years, recently added an enhanced plan with significantly improved benefits at a slightly higher price.

If your firm already subscribes to the regular plan, you might want to look at how the enhanced plan stacks up. Those who don't have a vision benefit should consider both options. Keep in mind, however, that all eligible employees must participate for your firm to obtain coverage.

The standard VSP plan costs $9.90 per month to cover an individual employee or $17.67 per month if the employee's family is included. Benefits include an eye exam every 12 months, a pair of prescription lenses and frames or contact lenses every 24 months...
