Eligibility: U.S.-based and Indonesia-based colleges
and universities, for-prot organizations and nonprot
organizations.
Areas: DOS said priority program areas may include
but are not limited to: Shared Values and Interests, for
activities that promote the U.S.-Indonesia strategic
partnership and build people-to-people ties through
enhanced understanding of U.S. policies, culture and

English Language Fellow and Specialist
Program (DOS)
Scope: The State Department’s Bureau of Educational
and Cultural Affairs seeks applications for the FY2021
English Language (EL) Fellow and Specialist Program
to improve English teaching capacity around the world
and increase mutual understanding between the people
of the United States and those of other countries
through the physical or virtual exchanges of U.S. English
language educators to educational institutions in all
world regions.
Deadline: Jan. 8, 2021.
Funds: $17 million total for one award.
Eligibility: Colleges and universities and nonprot
organizations.
Areas: DOS said the EL Fellow and Specialist Program
allows students and teachers at host institutions to
benet from the U.S. participants’ knowledge and
perspectives on pedagogical issues and gain a better
understanding of U.S. culture and values, representative
government, free enterprise and the rule of law. EL
fellows and specialists provide foreign educators,
professionals and students with the communication
skills they need to participate in the global economy and
to improve their access to accurate information and U.S.
perspectives on a broad variety of issues.

U.S. Embassy Namibia PAS Annual Program
Statement (DOS)
Scope: The State Department’s U.S. Mission to Namibia
seeks applications for the U.S. Embassy Public Affairs
Section Annual Program Statement announcement for
programs that strengthen ties between the United States
and Namibia through cultural, academic and exchange
programming that promotes bilateral cooperation and
shared values.
Deadline: April 1, 2021.
Funds: $25,000 total for up to ve awards of up to
$5,000.
Eligibility: Nonprot organizations.
Areas: DOS said examples of Public Affairs Grants
Programs include but are not limited to: academic and
professional lectures, seminars and speaker programs;
artistic and cultural workshops; joint performances
and exhibitions; sports exchange programs; health and
conservation programs that include engagement with
public audiences; cultural heritage conservation and
preservation programs; and professional and academic
exchanges and programs; among others.

Countering Iran’s Ballistic Missile Capability
(DOS)
Scope: The State Department’s Bureau of International
Security-Nonproliferation seeks applications for the
FY2021 Countering Iran’s Ballistic Missile Capability
announcement aimed at countering the development
of, and the advancements in, Iran’s ballistic missile
program and improving international adherence to the
appropriate UN Security Council resolutions and other
international multilateral and bilateral sanctions.
Deadline: Jan. 29, 2021.
Funds: $5 million total for awards ranging from $25,000
to $250,000.
Eligibility: Colleges and universities, for-prot
organizations and nonprot organizations.
Areas: DOS said it seeks proposals that are designed
to counter or curtail the following activities related to
Iran’s effort to advance its ballistic missile development
programs: illicit shipping, proliferation nance, transfer of
proliferation-sensitive ballistic missile–related technology
and materials, cyber-enabled theft of proliferation-
sensitive technology and open-source research.
