Administration (EBSA) promotes and
protects the retirement, health, and other
benef‌i ts of the over 141 million participants
and benef‌i ciaries in over 5 million private
sector employee benef‌i t plans. EBSA
develops regulations, assists and educates
workers, plan sponsors, f‌i duciaries,
and service providers, and enforces the
law. The Employee Retirement Income
Security Act is enforced through 15 f‌i eld
off‌i ces nationwide and a national off‌i ce in
Washington, DC.
