I worked six years as an advocate for domestic violence victims in the New Hanover County criminal-justice system. These days my community service involves service-related activities, including being a Big Sister with the local Big Brothers/Big Sisters program, volunteering with Friendship Trays and serving as the Mecklenburg County Bar's solo-practitioner/small-firm section chairperson.
