Elliott Davis makes room for growth at Camperdown.

The Elliott Davis firm will move its headquarters a few blocks, where it will have a Main Street presence and a bird's eye view of Greenville from Falls Tower, one of the Camperdown buildings now under development.

CEO Rick Davis said the new offices on floors 4, 5 and 6 will help some 250 employees engage one another in a modern way as they make room for growth a lot of growth.

"Growth means you need more space, and this will give us more room to grow and more room for people to work," he said. The business solutions firm has been growing at a pace that picked up in recent years and should continue at a rate that doubles the local Elliott Davis workforce to 500 over the next decade, he said.

The firm expects to move into Falls Tower in 2020, which is also its 100th year in business. Headquartered in Greenville, Elliott Davis has nine offices across several states, employing more than 800 professionals in business services such as tax, comprehensive assurance and consulting.

Davis said the new offices will include open spaces to accommodate new preferences in working styles among the staff. He said much of the work undertaken at the firm is conducted in teams of various sizes some long term and some short and teams work best in an open space. A shared workspace environment, coupled with meeting rooms and common areas on each floor, is designed to encourage employees to forge cross-discipline relationships, according to a news release.

He said the prominent Falls Tower location was chosen to make a statement.

"We have always been committed to Greenville," Davis said. "Our people believe in Greenville. We hope this space will help us attract the kind of talent that believes in our core values and helps us be a vital part of Greenville."
