Elections in Nicaragua.

Since March 10, 1989, the Organization of American States has been acting as an observer to the electoral process in Nicaragua, at the request of the government of that country. Some 60 staff members of the OAS General Secretariat and from member states have been involved. The number of OAS observers will increase gradually to a total of 200 by February 25, 1990, when the elections are scheduled to take place.
