The global pandemic has led several companies, public

organizations, and policy makers to find suitable strate-

gies in service management, human resources, and public

administration for implementation in the post-pandemic

era. Therefore, the case studies raised in this book are cru-

cial because the author presents the optimization and

effectiveness of public administration strategies that are

ideally applied in the global new normal.

This book provides strategies for private and govern-

ment companies in adapting the business to the new nor-

mal transition era by presenting 15 recent post-pandemic

kinds of research. In Chapter 1, Aquino Jr. integrates opera-

tional management and human resource management. All

employees can use this formula to work effectively and effi-

ciently amid pandemic uncertainty by leveraging technolog-

ical developments in industrial 5.0 for flexibility in working

hours while still obtaining optimal output. On the other side,

still, pay attention to the principle of team member resil-

ience. In Chapter 2, Aquino Jr. emphasized the literature

review through case studies experienced by several compa-

nies in developed countries such as the United States,

Australia, and the United Kingdom regarding the positive

and negative impacts of using Information Communication

Technology (ICT) as an operational platform for online

media, especially for employee recruitment. The integration

of ICT in business operations is proving a high probability of

outcomes, but it still has to be accompanied by robust regu-

lation to prevent data leaks.

In Chapter 3, the author Aquino Jr. addressed the

fundamental factors of spatial information technology

management as it is relevant to various public sectors

and companies in dealing with public administration

issues, which are engaged in agriculture, health, and insti-

tutions that are closely related to sustainable develop-

ment goals (SDGs) in order to minimize poverty

alleviation. In addition, the affordable price of Geographic

Information System features allows public sector compa-

nies to reduce their capital expenditure efficiently by pro-

viding the company agility in decision-making. Chapter 4

differs from the contents of the previous chapters in that

Aquino Jr. provides several recommendations on the

importance of risk mitigation and disaster management

strategies that need to be considered by every organiza-

tion, whether public or government. This is due to the

impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the decline in utili-

ties of various companies, such as the case experienced

by the KSEBL company (Kerala State Electricity Board Ltd).

However, the accuracy of the company’s handling strat-

egy has created a breakthrough that has proven to

endure during the pandemic. This chapter also offers an

overview of the impact of the pandemic on the commu-

nity’s ability to pay and willingness to pay, especially in

the electricity, production, and other main transmission

sectors that are relatively lower.

Another important read is Chapter 5, where Aquino

Jr. presents comprehensive literature related to a case study

in the Philippines that combine new formulas to regulate

regional financial accounting through the implementation

of new government accounting systems (NGAS) based on

international public sector accounting standards (IPSAS).

This chapter also discusses the essential role of collaboration

between the government and business organizations syner-

gizing toward actualizing the government’sgoalsandthe

company’s vision through legislation, audiences, transpar-

ency in enforcing equitable regulations, and market share

efficiency strategies to ensure inclusive economic recovery.

In Chapter 6, Aquino Jr. explains the positive and negative

impacts of using social media. The literature in this chapter

shows that one of the impacts of the surging adoption of

social media is the unstoppable spread of hoax information,

which has implications for public economic activities. On

the other hand, the government can give feedback in col-

laboration with influencers, bloggers, and stakeholders to

educate the public to use social media wisely. Hence, no

one commercializes malformation and disinformation to

gain one-sided benefits.

In Chapter 7, Aquino Jr. provides real examples of

how effective public administration models are applied in

several countries that employ public management strate-

gies by mobilizing military forces. The leading case in this

chapter is in Sri Lanka, although there has been contro-

versy about the effectiveness of military policies in
