Indiana Department of Workforce Development

The statewide network of Indiana Workforce Development offices provides job-referral services, career counseling, unemployment insurance and assistance with job training or retraining, It plans and assists in the development of secondary and post-secondary technical-education programs, collects and distributes labor-market information, helps businesses develop workplace literacy programs and assists in the development of education standards and assessments.

Indiana Literacy & Technical Education Resource Center

ILTERC houses a collection of videos, audiocassettes, books, pamphlets, magazines and newsletters. The collection is focused on literacy, adult education, technical education and career/workplace information. Materials for GED preparation and ESL are also available. The collection circulates for 30-day loan periods to Indiana residents. ILTERC is located at the Indiana State Library and is funded by the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, Indiana Department of Education and the Indiana State Library.
