EDITORIAL

It is my pleasure to introduce readers to this special issue of The Journal of Futures Markets. The articles were presented

at the fourth J.P. Morgan Center for Commodities (JPMCC) International Commodities Symposium held virtually in

August 2021. The symposium was organized by JPMCC Research Director, Jian Yang, an internationally recognized

scholar on derivatives securities and markets and a JFM Editorial Board Member. This is the third time that

The Journal of Futures Markets has devoted a special issue to selected papers presented at the annual JPMCC

International Commodities Symposium.

Although a large number of papers were submitted to the Symposium organizers, only a small fraction were

accepted for presentation at the Symposium. The Journal of Futures Markets subsequently selected only a fraction of

the papers accepted for presentation at the Symposium for inclusion in this special issue. All of the articles were

refereed. They are the first two papers in this issue.

This issue also includes six other papers that were submitted, reviewed, and accepted through the regular review

process.

I believe that you will enjoy reading these interesting and provocative articles.
