Generative artificial intelligence (AI) has spread like wildfire around the world—and regulators around the world are taking notice. As you will see, a number of articles in this issue of The Journal of Robotics, Artificial Intelligence & Law explore new government actions with respect to AI. We also have a wide range of other articles here, including two "Start-Up Corner" pieces that should be of particular interest to founders of new tech companies.

AI Code of Conduct

The first article in this issue is titled "G7 Leaders Publish AI Code of Conduct: A Common Thread in the Patchwork of Emerging AI Regulations Globally?" Here, Henry Mostyn, Gareth Kristensen, Ferdisha Snagg, Prudence Buckland, and Andreas Wildner of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP summarize the background to the Statement on the Hiroshima Artificial Intelligence Process and accompanying documents published recently by the G7 Leaders, and possible next steps.
