Wouldn't it be nice if there was a consistent structure for recommending and covering clinical preventive interventions in the United States? Unfortunately, as you can learn from the lead article in this issue of The Journal of Federal Agency Action, there is not.

Other articles here might lead you to suffer similar feelings of disappointment (note to the stubborn Food and Drug Administration: some readers may think of you) or even anxiety. Yet still other pieces might lead to optimism about where federal regulations are heading.
