Eco movement not a myth.

I am writing in response to your article entitled "The eco movement is a myth." (Rundles, December).

Let me begin by saying that I'm not mad at your comments on the subject, but saddened by your lack of understanding about what the eco movement is all about. The eco movement is not a radical jump from consumptive lifestyles to pure sustainability, but a slow progression and evolution into a more ecological approach to life. And each person is on his or her own individual path within that progression. Everyone with an environmental conscience will take what steps they can, when they can. This is still eco progress.

Now, I'm not sure if I'm the first to tell you that there are currently millions of Americans (not living alone in a hovel) who are living large...
