A report from the Netherlands Court of Audit, the Algemene Rekenkamer, recently revealed shortcomings with the Dutch police in its management and exchange of information on investigations and terrorism. The court, which has audited the Dutch police department on many occasions since 1985, reports that over the years, various interior ministers and those in charge of overseeing the regional police forces, Korps Landelijke Politiediensten (Klpd), have done little to ensure a well-functioning collection, processing, and distribution of investigative information to and from the regional forces.
