Tax Boot Camp is designed to prepare new staff of CalCPA members for tax season by providing hands-on training in return preparation, work paper technique, tax research and basic tax law.

"Recruits" are drilled in basic tax techniques over the five-day course. A comprehensive tax problem, developed with the help of San Diego Chapter CPAs, provides real-life examples of common tax reporting forms, escrow statements, business records, rental records, lease agreements and other commonly encountered tax supporting documents.
