Welcome to this edition of Strategies where we remember the Alamo. Uh, I mean, recap the 2012 LMA Conference held at the wonderful Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, Texas. It was an unforgettable gathering that lived up to its theme of Leadership and Effecting Change. More than a thousand participants attended the interactive and thought-provoking learning sessions at this year's conference. What a Texas triumph.

Whether you joined us back in March or not, in this issue we invite you to two-step with us, looking back at our encouraging events. We hope to give you a taste of both the Southern hospitality and the meaningful networking that took place. My personal favorite at the resort was the "Consider it Done" button. I wish I had an app like that on my phone for daily use.

Additionally, we want to thank Jill Weber and Mark Usellis, the Annual Conference co-chairs; Alycia Sutor, LMA president; Betsi Roach, LMA executive director; the LMA headquarters staff at SmithBucklin; and Kristy Perkins and all her colleagues at the American Conference Institute for proving that everything really is bigger and better in Texas.
