Dixon named president of victim advocates association.

Tressa Dixon, supervisor of the Columbia Police Department's Victim Services Unit, is the new president of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Victim Advocates Association.

Dixon, who joined CPD in 2002, was sworn in on Tuesday by S.C. Attorney General Alan Wilson at the S.C. Criminal Justice Academy's Law Enforcement Officers Hall of Fame.

Dixon, who holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from California-headquartered Ashford University, also serves on the South Carolina Domestic Violence Advisory Committee and is the training coordinator for the...
