Scooby-Doo (Scoobert) is a Great Dane of dubious courage who nevertheless endeavors to maintain a full stomach of Scooby snacks.

Scooby-Doo and the members of Mystery, Inc. Shaggy Rogers, Velma Dinkley, Daphne Blake and Fred Jones, invariably have solved mysteries involving crime and the supernatural, for over thirty years.

Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, Velma, Daphne and Fred have maintained and drivea the same Mystery Machine van for over 30 years.

Scooby-Doo was first produced by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera in 1969 as CBS's flagship cartoon, "Scooby-Doo, Where Are You"?

Today, January 16, 2002, Scooby-Doo will be presented by Warner Bros. at the Warner Theatre in the national touring live production of "Scooby-Doo! In Stagefright--Live On Stage!".

Scooby-Doo's name was inspired by Frank Sinatra's improvisations at the end of Strangers in the Night; and the members of Mystery, Inc. were inspired by the cast of The Many Lives of Dobie...
