It's not just in Tennessee that they have done away with the honor roll (Jeff Rundles, "The dishonor roll," March). In Atlanta, they no longer do an honor roll, and they are THAT close to dispensing with grades. It makes the kids that don't get A's feel bad. Ditto things like sports camp and band.
