Disciplinary actions.

As a result of investigations of alleged violations of the Codes of Professional Conduct of the AICPA and/or state CPA societies, the following ethics cases have been resolved by settlement agreement under the Joint Ethics Enforcement Program.

* Thomas H. Armstrong Sr. of Collierville, Tenn., admonished by the AICPA, effective May 22, 2008.

* Ronnie G. Ashby of Tupelo, Miss., admonished by the AICPA and the Tennessee Society of CPAs, effective May 22, 2008.

* Gilbert Bergsman of White Plains, N.Y., suspended from membership in the AICPA and the New York State Society of CPAs for a period of one year, effective Apr. 9, 2008.

* Lee Levinson of Lakeview, N.Y., suspended from membership in the AICPA and the New York State Society of CPAs for a period of one year, effective Apr. 9, 2008.

* James D. Summa of New York, suspended from membership in the AICPA and the New York State Society of CPAs for a period of one year, effective Apr. 9, 2008.

As a result of a decision by a hearing panel of the Joint Trial Board, the following member has had his AICPA membership:--Suspended for one year:

* John G. Makula of Park Ridge, Ill., effective Apr. 25, 2008.

Under the automatic disciplinary provisions of the Institute's bylaws, the following members have had their AICPA memberships:

--Terminated because of a final judgment of conviction for a crime punishable by imprisonment for more than one year:

* Carole D. Argo of Baltimore, effective Apr. 17, 2008.

* Robert G. Barber Jr., of Durham, N.H., effective Apr. 17, 2008.

* Wilbert M. Bauer of Milwaukee, Wis., effective Apr. 17, 2008.

* Thomas E. Karam of Rockville, Md., effective Apr. 25, 2008.

--Terminated following disciplinary action imposed by the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board:

* Steven M. Kantor of Plantation, Fla., effective Apr. 25, 2008.

* Kevin J. Williams of Spokane, Wash., effective Apr. 25, 2008.

--Terminated following disciplinary action imposed by the Internal Revenue Service:

* Harold S. Kahn of Hollis, N.Y., effective Mar. 17, 2008.

* Jeffrey H. Lang of Fishers, Ind., effective Apr. 25, 2008.

--Terminated following disciplinary action imposed by the Securities and Exchange Commission:

* Daniel E. Clasby of Ipswich, Mass., effective Mar. 4, 2008.
